Hostage??

Hale was up early one morning and was set about bumbling around the house when he heard a knock at the door. He made his way over to the door and opened it up, only to become face to face with the barrel of a gun.
"OKAY." Hale exclaimed with wide eyes, looking at the woman that was holding the gun. She had light brown hair and she was shorter than HAle, but boy did she look angry. "Can..I..Help you?"
"You have Zachary Gode." She growled. "I know you're holding him hostage. I'm here to save him."
"Holding him hostage?" Hale questioned cautiously. "Listen, as much fun as that really sounds, I think you've got it all wrong-"
"I want to see Zachary." She shoved the gun a little further into his face.
"Okay..Okay.." Hale nodded lightly, taking a few steps back. "ZACH! THERE'S A GIRL WITH A GUN HERE FOR YOU!"
"A girl with a gun?!" Zach's groggy call came from across the home. He swaggered into the living room, ruffling his hair that was an utter mess from his night of sleep. When he caught sight of the girl, he paused, perking up. "Samantha??"
The woman suddenly smiled brightly. "Zachary!" She put her gun away in her jacket and ran over to the border collie, jumping up and giving him the tightest hug she could. "You're okay! I came to save you!"
"Save me?" Zach raised a brow and glanced over at Hale who shrugged, equally confused. 
"This guy is keeping you hostage." Samantha snarled in Hale's direction. 
"Hostage?" Zach shook his head. "No, no, Hale's my best friend. He's not keeping me hostage."
"As much fun as that would be," Hale added.
"I live with Hale now. He's my room mate basically," Zach explained and the woman tilted her head. 
"So you didn't have to threaten me with that gun," Hale huffed.
Zach looked down at her. "You threatened him with-...No Sam. Don't ever point a gun at him. Ever. Okay? Never at Hale. Apologize to him."
Samantha looked over at Hale. "Sorry," she said flatly.
