A Wild Trance

"Must you be so messy when you do your.." Vex tossed his head in the direction his bloodied friend, Wild Card, had come. "..duties?"
Wild shrugged his shoulders, passing a sly grin to Vex. "Must you carry that loud, ticking watch everywhere you go?" he mimicked Vex's way of speaking just to annoy him.
"Touche," Vex retorted, putting a paw over his watch to hush the ticking that he barely even noticed.
Wild shook off his paws, having a mess of blood on them from what he considered a 'job well done'. Vex watched him with bright orange eyes and then spoke again.
"It perplexes me," he said, his calm apathetic voice never wavering. "How you just seem to allow the...lack of control to take you over."
"You mean the insanity, right?" Wild huffed. "Just say the word, don't try beating around the bush."
"I'm not fond of the word." Vex said, "As I'm not fond of the action."
"You've got a lot in you though!" Wild exclaimed as if the insanity were something he treasured.
"I don't usually estimate the amount I have."
"You should let it go," Wild Card insisted, sitting back on his haunches across from his wicked-eyed friend. "It feel so good. When it runs through you, you realize there ain't anything other feeling like it! It's a thrill! I don't know how you can fight it." Wild examined Vex's very calm and still expression. "That must take a lot of skill to keep it so...so buried."
"Control is very important to me," Vex replied. "Control allows me to come closer to a normal life. The sort with a good girl, some friends, a family sort of life."
Wild gave a boisterous laugh. "A girl!" he yipped with amusement. "How long have you been after that Style-chick again? You talk about that mess of fur non-stop!"
At the mention of Style's name, Vex's ears moved forward, more alert now.
"I will have her," he stated. "There has just been...difficulties."
Wild Card snickered. "Yea, like the fact she ain't worth squat."
The slender dog took a moment to look at Vex and when he did he stopped moving. Vex was staring at him now, his pupils but small slits as the color in his eyes began to swirl itself.
"Alright...Alright.." Wild Card had difficulty breaking from Vex's evil stare. "I'll drop it.." He knew better then to try his friend's patience too much. And Vex knew when not to try Wild's. Their friendship was odd, but they knew the limits of the other, they knew what they would each be allowed to get away with.
Vex let his shoulders relax and his eyes shifted back into a calm-state. "Have you ever looked for a nice girl to settle down with?"
Wild scuffed, moving his attention to the drying blood on his legs and paws. "Woman don't exactly go for my type."
"I've met a few would would accept it." Vex noted. "If they fall in love with you they will ignore your bad habits..or in your case..your hobby."
Wild Card smirked again as he looked over at his friend who was grinning, amused, although his voice never showed it.
"What are you now?" the black mix asked. "Some kinda love guru?"
"Add that to my resume," Vex chuckled slightly.
"You're a mutt of many talents, Vex." Wild told him.
"..And you're still covered in blood, friend."
Wild just laughed at his reply.

AND I HAVE A WATCH LIKE VEX'S (well..actually..i havea watch like the Master..which is what Vex's is based off of..) BUT YEA. IT'S AMAZING.

IM SORRY IF I GOT WILD ALL OUT OF CHARACTER skjhajfh i tried ;3;

i imagine them constantly picking at eachother with sometimes sarcastic and hurtful banter...but knowing the limits of the other and being cautious not to surpass it, for fear of what the other would do xD
Wild is constantly loving his insanity while Vex tries to hide his (hence how calm and..boring LOL he seems to be xD)
